A 2d analog horror style game that mixes both 2d colourful style with real-life footage to show a stark contrast between two perspectives: a desperate mother who joins a cult for a better future for her child, and the child, whose understanding of the situation is limited by their innocence.

2D Analog Horror

Demo Footage

Footage of the Demo we made for a short collaborative project

As the only game designer on the team, I was responsible for coding and assembling everything in the Unity Engine. Apart from assets used mainly for the level selection menu, all art and footage were made by the rest of the team.

Originally, we had plans for me to code multiple minigame sections to help uncover the story, but as this was a limited-time project at university, I only implemented one minigame: the Teddy Bear Picnic. Focusing on also implementing the cutscenes, player movement and other aspects of the game

Minigame

Coded a Drag and drop mechanic and linked putting all the correct sandwhich ingrediants with completing the minigame

Menu Design

Created the background, dollhouse, locks and mouse asset in Microsoft Paint, then set up the level selection code, with future parts of the game in mind. As the player goes further through the game, more and more of the rooms get unlocked.

I chose a dollhouse to reflect the perspective of the child character that the player plays as.
